Maersk Medical: Production system for catheters

In close cooperation with Maersk Medical, DANSK TEKNOLOGI has developed a production and assembly system for fully automated manufacturing of catheters.

The system has a large production flexibility, meaning that the changeover between different lengths of the single-use catheters can be done "on the fly" without loss of production. The changeover between different sizes (from ch4 to ch20) can furthermore be done in less than 10 minutes.  

Task
DANSK TEKNOLOGI has been responsible for (1) concept development, (2) detail construction, (3) manufacturing, (4) assembly, and (5) installation. Furthermore, DANSK TEKNOLOGI has been responsible for ongoing service and maintenance of the system.

In total, 9 systems have been manufactured and delivered.

DANSK TEKNOLOGI has completed more than 80 development projects for the A.P. Moller Maersk Group.
